Hallo Mark,I would like to make a one year of acting study in London but it is very hard to get accurate informations about the schools,I am 36 years old,a proffesional dancerand I have 16 years of proffesional experience of dancing, performing and working with text around the world.I would like to give a year to my acting skills and I can not decide which is the best place to go.I have been recomended Drama Studio London,do you know anything about this school? And I am thinking of an MA course in Central School of Speach and Drama. It is very late in a year so I have to decide quick.Could you tell me a bit about this two places and athers if you know.
Thank you very much in advance,

Ivana

Ivana, it really depends upon what kind of course you’re looking for. DSL is a good course, but the facilities are underwhelming. Central is impressive, but perhaps too large these days, and we all know what happened to the dinosaurs. For a one year course, I would suggest the Royal Welsh College. I’ve always thought highly of the welsh college http://www.rwcmd.ac.uk/courses/ma_acting_stage_screen_radio.aspx If you just want to live in London for a year, then that’s different. I have some comments/questions I want to make about Tactics and the infamous I blank YOU formula. However the option to do so one those particular pages is not available. Can I just email them to you in hopes to have a response. I would love to read what you have to say.? Let me know your thoughts.

Hi Mark!

I recently agreed to be in my friends first music video for his band. However, I must admit that I am slightly nervous as to whether I’m any good or not. Is there any advice you can give for someone who’s not got much experience? I guess I just want to feel less self conscious so I can just throw myself into it and do a great job!

Thanks!

Hi Mark,

I am a writer/director from Sydney and I find your articles a fascinating insight into acting which I hope to utilise and further enhance my directing ability. I was wondering if you have an RSS feed I can subscribe to? Of the dozen other blogs that I follow, as well as the reading and movie watching I do on a regular basis, I am finding that I am losing your blog in the mix. I hope that you can integrate RSS into your blog so that I, and many others interested in your work, can follow you more closely.

Cheers,
Allan
